Profile Outcome is used to examine the makeup of student populations converting from one funnel stage to another. There are a series of bar charts that display information about your students by areas such as Gender, Ethnicity, Major, and First Generation.
Each bar chart uses the following conventions:
- Dots represent the conversion rate of that segment.
- The bars represent your volume of students within that segment.
Filters at the top of the report can be used to focus your analysis on students from specific geographic areas, or with specific academic, demographic, or interest criteria.
Top Insights from Profile Outcome:
Where do I have areas of concern based on a comparison of previous years?
Using the Year Over Year Focus Point visualization, you can select a specific funnel point to focus on, along with the attribute you want to consider. For instance, let's say you want to focus on Applicant Volume by Major. Your visualization will display in order of Majors with the biggest change from last year, whether that change is higher or lower.
In the visualization above, you'll see that the first Major has a decrease of 100 Applicants since the previous year. The next two Majors have seen an increase in Applicants compared to the previous year (each with 76 more than the year before). This is designed to quickly show where you're experiencing the largest gains or losses.
